Blimey, it's 2019! It feels weird even typing that because it only feels like a few weeks ago that we were last celebrating New Year's. Where oh where does the time go?

2018 has been an eventful year for a lot of us, but there really is something oh so refreshing I find when this time of year springs upon us again. It's almost like we can hit the refresh button again after a week (or month?) of slobbing around in our PJ's and indulging in all of the chocolate and alcohol. Not that there's anything at all wrong with that, but personally I've missed having a little routine to keep me right. But today I'm sharing my highlights of 2018 in the hopes that when I'm feeling a little lacklustre, I can look back at all I've achieved this year, however big or small. So let's go, shall we?

Graduated University
Now this is something that I am bloody proud of myself for. From the day I moved into my university accomodation in September 2015, there was something in the back of my mind that told me that this just wasn't for me. That little niggle was always there and eventually, I decided to listen to my heart and moved back home, where I spent the next 2 and a half years commuting to Newcastle for university.

I studied Fashion Communication, and looking back, the course was fab and I did learn a lot - not only about the Fashion Industry, but about myself. I learnt that I can push myself further than I ever thought, that I can stand up for myself when I need to, but also that I was incredibly unorganised, last-minute and very stubborn. These are things that I've been working on throughout university and slowly but surely, I'm getting there.

And despite the ups and the downs, I graduated with a 2:1 in July 2018, which is honestly something I never thought I'd say. It was the toughest three years of my life, but I did it. And considering I considered dropping out almost every day of those three years there, I'm proud of myself for seeing it through, as it's an experience that has shaped me forever - not to mention some of the amazing people I met there!

Collaborated
I had a few 'pinch me' moments this year when brands I've loved for years reached out to collaborate with me. Yes, me! Little old me with my little corner on the internet, and they actually wanted to work with me!

First up was Nasty Gal, who I've worked with a couple of times now, and hope to continue to do so in 2019. A truly fab brand that I adore and hope you all do too! (Check out my posts with them here and here.)

Then came Daniel Wellington, who very kindly sent me over one of their stunning Classic Petite Melrose watches, which I still wear every day! (Check out my post with them here.)

And then Radley. AHHH! I remember my Nanna would always take us to Radley in the Cheshire Oaks outlet every Summer, where she would treat herself to a new bag and us to a new purse, so it's a brand very close to my heart. (Check out my post with Radley here.)

And finally was Topshop. I think it's safe to say that we all know that Topshop is one of my absolute favourite brand EVER. I've worked for the company for over 3 years now, and have spent more money than I care to think about there in that time, too. So to be given the opportunity to work with them over on Instagram (@tasminewilliams) was a bloody dream come true.

Celebrated our 21st birthdays

Tom is actually only three days older than me. We're both born at the end of August, meaning there's always the most beautiful bank holiday weather to spend celebrating our birthdays on! This year, we turned the big 21, but kept it simple with a trip to York for some drinks and shopping during the day, and finished off with a film and Dominos (our fave!) on the night. What better way to spend a birthday?

Tenerife
In September we jetted off to one of our favourite holiday destinations, Tenerife. This time we stayed a mere few minutes walk away from the famous shopping strip of Las Americas, so needless to say we spent most nights there, finishing off back at the hotel on the beach to enjoy a fancy cocktail (or five). As much as I love my city breaks, sometimes nothing beats a week of lying in the sun, reading a book and doing absolutely nothing. Ahhh, bliss.

Bought a house!
YES! I can't believe I'm even typing this, but we have actually bought our first house together!!! We've been together nearly 6 years, so we felt it was time we got our own space. Coincidentally, we'll actually be moving into our house around April time this year, which is our the month of our 6 year anniversary too. I already have every room planned out to the dot in my head and I am SO excited! If you'd like to keep up to date with the move and any interior content then just give me a follow over on Instagram!

So, there we have it!

It certainly hasn't all been lollipops and rainbows, but it's been bloody good nontheless.
And I can't wait to see what 2019 brings for us all.

Much love x
