Waistcoat & Trousers - Topshop | Bag - ASOS | Sunglasses - Quay Australia | Boots - Topshop

When buying clothes, something I always make sure I factor into my pre-purchase checklist, is whether or not I'm actually going to wear it more than just the one time. I bought this stunning cornflower-blue co-ord for my graduation back in July (which now feels like an absolute lifetime ago!). I was drawn to the fact that it's a two-piece rather than a dress - because, 'Um, hello! It's me, the co-ord hoarder!'

Aside from my *slightly worrying* love for co-ords and such, I knew this was something I'd be able to style in so many ways, both as a set and as separates. I've already rocked the trousers with a burgundy roll neck and some of my most loved (read: battered) Converse, which looked ACE. The waistcoat would look equally as fab over a white tee paired with some straight leg jeans and a pair of ankle boots or trainers - basically, whatever tickles your pickle!

But for this outfit, I wanted to rock the co-ord as a set. Whenever I go on a city break, I like to make my outfits that little more special. Although don't you fret, in that hefty, Mary Poppins-esque sequin tote (wow, what a mouthful), were my back-up trainers resting peacefully, ready for a swift swap when my feet could no longer hack the pain that is a 4" heeled boot.

I simply adore how this particular shade of blue sits against the tan leather of the boots, so I kept the other accessories in a monochromatic palette to ensure this colour combo did the talking. This sequin bag is just the stuff of dreams, so I'm bloody chuffed we're edging closer to Autumn so it's finally acceptable to whip it out again! To finish off and add a bit of a cool-girl vibe (which I am absolutley not, but let's pretend, ey?) to the outfit, I popped on my go-to white, oval sunnies.
