Blazer - c/o Nasty Gal | Jeans - & Other Stories | Boots - ASOS | Bag - Gucci

Hello you beautiful people! Long time, no speak, 'ey? Apologies for my lack of content over here lately, I've been snowed under with final year deadlines at uni and to be perfectly honest, the fear has set in. I have two weeks left to do five months work of work. I often lay in bed at night wondering why I always leave myself in these predicaments, accompanied by the "Why are you like this?" meme. So yeah, let's get back to the outfit shall we?

It's so refreshing to step outside and feel the sun on our faces for what seems like the first time in about a decade! I can literally feel the happiness radiating from everyone when the sun shines. I think I can speak for us all when I say that I never want to see a jumper or woolly coat again after this never-ending Winter. At the first glimmer of sunshine, my coats were already crammed into my storage cupboard and in their place now sits an array of light-wash denim, linen and cotton dresses. Ahh, summer, how my pasty legs have missed you!  Despite the manic tanning in light of the coming sunshine, my legs weren't quite the level of 'golden goddess' I aspired, so wide-leg denim it was for this outfit. Although this little Nasty Gal blazer did just the trick to add a little summin' summin' to the look.

I'm SUCH a sucker for anything statement as I'm sure you're all well aware, however I don't think I've ever owned a blazer quite like this before. This particular number gave me heart palpitations when I first saw it. (Along with the matching skirt might I add, which I'm now totally kicking myself for not buying!) It's the most beautiful monochromatic zebra print with a thick collar detail and makes the perfect 'throw-on and go' piece - as shown above.

Accessories wise I kept the look fairly simple to let the blazer do the talking, with the only other statement piece being these amazing green sock boots from ASOS. Being a sock-effect shoe, they're the perfect tool for adding a little extra length to your legs and would look totally amazing with a mini skirt in Summer! (Provided you've left enough time for your tan to develop...)

So, having had several weeks off to focus on my uni work (*cough* procrastinate by watching Netflix *cough*) I'm so excited to be back. Once I finish uni I'm hoping to up my content to twice a week. Whaddya think? See you next time you absolute babes!
