Jumper | Jeans | Boots | Hat - All Topshop
Bag - River Island

January is upon us and somehow, we've all managed to drag ourselves out of bed and get back into our daily routines - albeit kicking and screaming. I personally am still struggling with the idea of not having an excuse to consume my body weight in Terry's Chocolate Orange every day for the foreseeable future. Is it just me, or is it incredibly unreasonable to eat a little piece of Cadbury's goodness for breakfast consistently for 25 days, to then be expected to eat healthy?!

Indeed, it is that time of year where the Winter timber has snuck up on us. Turns out calories actually do count at Christmas. Oops. Alas, I'm sharing my tips for dressing for this dreary time of year. Getting dressed in the morning is as easy as reading this post...

1. Operation Oversized.
Covering an array of unwarranted appearances, from food babies to jeans that no longer button all the way up, oversized jumpers are the way forwards. They also just feel like you're wearing a dressing gown, so it's a win-win.

2. Trusty Jeans.
You can never EVER go wrong with a pair of good-fitting jeans. (Save the skinny fit for Summer. The looser, the better right now. I need all the room I can get right now.)

3. Hat
An absolute necessity/life-saver/life-changer. Bad hair day? Wind? Eye-bags? You need not worry, my dears. This hat will sort you right out.

4. Black Boots
Need I say more?

5. Statement Bag.
While you're bundled up in the outfit equivalent of a Topshop duvet, let your statement bag fool people into thinking you've actually made an effort. Go bigger, bolder and more colourful than ever before. Bonus: all eyes will be on the bag as oppose to your actual under-eye bags. HUZZAH!

  1. Love this outfit!!! I'm living in my mom jeans at the moment - SO much better than skinnies!xx
