Clothes have magical powers.
The coat that screams, “BUY ME! BUY ME! I WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!” or that delicious new handbag that is destined to brighten up your dreary days. They have the power to transform and transport us. My mood is highly affected by what I wear, as I've touched upon in a previous post.

My wardrobe is everything that I am not. Flashy, loud, obnoxious, glamorous. Every piece has a certain je ne sais quoi and, like Cinderella’s glass slippers, transform me into a new version of myself. What’s not to love?

One day I am a sequinned cowgirl and the next I am suddenly an extra in a scene from an 80s nightclub. On the day these photographs were taken, I clearly wanted to represent a cross between a yellow-feathered cartoon chicken, and a lemon top ice-cream (or 'lemon-swirl' if you're not a Northerner).

See, that's the thing. Clothing holds the power of how you present yourself to the world that day. You can literally be anything you want - all you need is the corresponding clothes. For example, library days at the uni I will NEVER wear loungewear. It simply leaves me unmotivated and uninspired, whereas an ostentatious, millennial pink ruffled blouse, dungarees and glittery boots? Hell yeah!

  1. Love that your wardrobe is loud and glam! So fun! Totally agree that clothes are magical, they can totally transform your mood it's unreal!

    1. Thank you so much babe!! Omg yes they totally do! There's nothing a new pair of shoes can't fix ;)

  2. Yes yes yes! Completely agree with everything you said in this post. I never wear loungewear for chill days in college either, I always feel the need to be a little dressy.. I mean I never wear make up but some effort always goes into my outfit! x
