Jacket - Zara | Tshirt - Topshop | Trousers - Topshop
Bag - Gucci | Hat - ASOS | Shoes - Gucci

Over the past nine months, there have been many a trend that have truly taken the fashion world by storm. We've had corset detailing, gingham and most recently the Prince of Wales checks, to name a few. Although this Autumn/Winter there may be competition coming from the accessory department. Yup, hats may just be the next big craze for the colder months, banishing bad hair days into the past for good.

Some of the biggest fashion brands on the block finishing off their catwalk ensembles with the marmite hat. Dior approached the trend with a daring leather beret, while Miu Miu rocked the most outrageous colourful numbers known to man. Although my absolute favourite had to be Coach's fun faux fur take on the trend. Certainly not one I'd be brave enough to wear but I'm happy to admire from a distance.

Love them or hate them, be prepared to see them much more over the upcoming months. I've tried and tested several styles of hats over the years and had yet to find a style I felt comfortable in - until now. Back in my early college days I was obsessed with buying fedoras although never brave enough to actually wear them for anything other than a selfie in my bedroom - yikes. However having seen the humble baker boy cap flood the ASOS 'new-in' section lately, I thought I'd dip my toe into the trend and boyyyyy am I glad I did!

It has already saved me from a fair few unfortunate hair days, and has left me leaving the house feeling incredibly confident, sassy and put together, something which I never in a million years thought I would feel whilst wearing a hat. Hurrah! Seriously though, the only downside is I now feel like none of my outfits are complete without it!
