It feels like absolute donkeys years since I last did a favourites post. So let's get back on it, and allow me to share with you some little gems I've been going crazy over recently, shall we begin?

1. Gucci Bag

Well, duh. It's a no-brainer my new Gucci would of course be at the top of my faves recently. In fact, I think it's adorned my shoulder in every single outfit post recently...is that bad?

I went for the medium sized bag, the middle of the 3 available options. I loved the larger one, but it was just a little too big for me personally, you know when you feel like a bag's carrying you, rather than you carrying the bag? Being 5"4 doesn't exactly help the matter either, so this size fitted my criteria perfectly, and I've never looked back. *queue romantic Disney song about finding 'the one'*

2. Mules

I cannot put into words how bloody excited I am that it's finally warm enough to whack out the open-toed sandals. I'm not the biggest toe fan (is that a thing?) but I feel like a bad-ass mule in a seriously statement colour or fabric, like the two above, draws the attention away from my toes, which is a winner in my books. These metallic silver gems, sent from heaven above, are from Topshop, and the equally heavenly suede coral pair are from Office. Eat your heart out, gals.

3. Tom Ford Fragrance

Last year I dedicated an entire post to this fragrance by Tom Ford, although I'm not entirely sure how well I managed to describe it... I'm thinking year 5 literacy level perhaps? Anyway, after a whole year this is still without a doubt one of my top scents. 'Black Orchid' is definitely not for everyone, it's an incredibly powerful smell. It is described as a "sensuous blend of Black Truffle and Ylang mingled with fresh Bergamot and delectable Black Currant", which I think sums it up pretty well.

Next on my list of the divine Tom Ford scents on offer is the Soleil Blanc, which is quite literally the epitome of Holiday. Please do go have a sniff if you haven't already. I promise you won't regret it.

4. 'Women in this Town'

This book has been gathering dust on my dresser for God knows how long, and I'm now kicking myself for it. Full of all the street style one could imagine, from  Madrid to New York, Tokyo to Paris, London to Melbourne - you name it. For those days when I'm lacking a little excitement from my wardrobe, a flick through this book of wonders does the trick, filling my mind with endless outfit ideas. I definitely recommend picking this one up!

5. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Gradual Tanning Moisturiser

My holy grail. After trying out endless gradual tanners since 2008, I've finally found the one. I can't believe it never crossed my mind to try this before, as both my mum and I have always used the original Palmer's Cocoa Butter (the best body moisturiser in the world). And this is no different.

One major flaw I'd found with anything containing tanning ingredients is the undeniable, pungent smell of curry. There's no avoiding it, and it bloody stinks. Which is where Palmer's comes in - it gives a beautiful colour the day after application - streak-free - and, wait for it, doesn't smell of curry. I know, right? It literally smells of Cocoa Butter, and nothing else, and the colour lasts for days without needing to re-apply daily. I'm in love.

Let me know if there is anything you have been loving recently, or if you're thinking about trying any of these out. I'd love to know your thoughts!

  1. I love all of these favourites! That Gucci bag is a just beyond a dream and I definitely need to try that gradual tanner, I can never be bothered with fake tan these days because it ALWAYS streaks, such a faff. x
