Frills and Leather

Sometimes all you need to take an outfit from being too frumpy and feminine, to all-out badass is a pair of chunky boots and a leather jacket (and of course, a trusty fedora). When this little red number first arrived, I was a little wary of the frilly hem and puffy sleeves - not my usual style, I'll admit, but I fell into that age-old trick of seeing something look amazing on the model and then foolishly thinking that it will look the same on you - nuh-uh.

Even after popping it on I still wasn't entirely sure, but after adding some black accessories to toughen it up, I was sold. Honestly, I don't think there is anything that a leather jacket can't make look good. Next on my list? This baby... a little *read: a LOT* pricey, but I think that a leather jacket is something you should invest in, particularly if you're like me and pretty much live in one. Although my style resolution for Autumn is to try and step away from the trusty leather and be a little more adventurous.

  2. You look amazing! We love the rich colour of the dress but how you added a nice edge with the leather jacket to dress the look down :)
