Brushes (via eBay). I am forever forgetting to bring make-up brushes on holiday, probably since I don't actually take any sort of foundation, but nevertheless a little bronzer and highlighter never goes amiss on holiday, so make sure you take one for each.
MUA Eyeshadow Palette - Undress Me Too. This palette by MUA is a great dupe for the Urban Decay Naked palettes, and at an absolute steal of the price of only £4! (Say whaaaaaat?!?)They're super pigmented and the shimmery tones are great for holiday when you have a tan. 100% recommend! (I've had mine a year and after daily use it still has this much left... did I hear you say bargain?)
Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray. Like this one even needs a description. If you need a way to make sure your make-up stays put rather than sliding here, there and everywhere in the heat, then this is your guy.
Topshop Lipstick - Ditsy. This is a great summer lipstick. Topshop lipsticks are the same quality as MAC and at almost half the price. 'Ditsy' is a personal favourite of mine - a real nice creamy, moisturising finish that can also be matte-ified (is that even a word?) by patting with a tissue and applying a lipstick-sealer. It's a pink-orange coral colour and with a tan, wowzer.Primark False Nails. Ok, so not exactly an essential, but personally I cannot stand painting my own nails for holiday just to have them chip after one dip in the pool, resulting in re-applying it every five minutes just to have it smudge/chip again the next day. Nooooo thank you. Primark nails are such a good alternative and this bumble bee print was just too cute to resist!
Benefit Fine One One Blush. When I'm on holiday, I like to steer clear of powder blushes as they don't really stay-put as well. So, on my last holiday after spending a little too much time at the Benefit counter in duty free, I bagged myself this cream-stick blusher. I cleverly managed to crop out the actual blush itself, (bravo Tasmine, bravo) but it consists of three strips of colour: nude, hot pink and orange. It works by applying a strip on your cheekbones (where you would normally apply your blush), with the nude colour at the top, and the orange at the bottom. Then, blend either with a brush or your fingers, whatever tickles your fancy and voila! Not only do you have a pop of colour that will actually stay put in the hot weather, but also a little contouring all in one. Pretty cool, ammirite?
Nivea Tinted Moisturising Day Cream in Natural. After running out of both moisturiser and the above BB Cream, I decided to go for a 2-in-1 (mostly due to only having £5 in my purse, but we'll just pretend I was being creative, shall we?). I haven't actually tested this yet, but it looks amazing and I've read great reviews of it, and I'm so excited to try it out on holiday!
Benefit Sun Beam & THE BODY SHOP Tinted Glow Enhancer. You can never go wrong with a bit of bronzer in summer. Benefit's Sun Beam is an absolute favourite for adding a bit of a glow to my face. Whereas The Body Shop 'Glow Enhancer' is what I tend to use on my body when I feel I need a bit of colour. I simply but a line down the centre of my legs and blend with my fingers, and it instantly gives you that sun-kissed glow whilst also making your legs look a little slimmer. FABULOUS.
Do you have any beauty favourites for holiday? Let me know in the comments below as I'd love to try them out.
Loved reading this and I definitely now have a few products I want to test out! x
