70s Trend Tips.

26.2.15

1. CO-ORDS

My love for the 70's has taken over so much that I just had to make a post on it. Co-ords were huuuge in the 70's came back into fashion last year. Matching your outwerwear with you bottom half is probably the best, and you never have to worry if your outfit matches - of course it does!

Check-board prints have taken off SS13', thanks to Mr Jacobs. So channel your inner 'Mod Goddess' and strut like it's 1965!....xCamille Rowe for ELLE NorwayVogue Paris, February 1968.

2. THE FLOPPY HAT

Forget diamonds, hats are a girls best friend, especially on a bad hair day. Rather than spending 40 minutes of desperation attempting to tackle the morning bed hair, throw on a floppy hat and -POOF - disaster averted.

3. FLARES

Maybe an obvious one, but whether its blue denim, printed pants or tailored trousers, flares are the KEY to nailing the 70s trend this season. I style mine with a loose fit blouse and some chunky platform boots for added height (my flared jeans are way to olong for my tiny legs so platforms are a must).

4. THE FUR COAT

Faux fur has been one of the biggest break-through trends of last year and its still standing strong in 2015. LFW was full of faux fur coats and bags as far as the eye could see, and it's a trend I can't get enough of.

5. THE SUEDE SKIRT

Obviously suede is huge, and there's all sorts you could go for to nail the 70s trend, like the suede jacket, suede pants etc, you get the jist. But suede skirts have captured my love so for all the suede skirts out there, this ones for you.

So that's my round-up of the key pieces you need for the 70's trend. I'll be putting up another post in the next week of a 70s look of my own featuring my new Topshop flares so stay tuned!
